Wand Chooses the Wizard

Ramal Black was alone in diagon alley. He had made his parents promise to let him shop alone. They surprisingly agreed, so now he was here to shop. Walking into Ollivanders, he stopped to admire all of the wands that were there. He was known to practice hand magic with his mother but he had always wanted a wand. "Hello?" he called as he approached the front desk. He couldn't wait to see what he would get.

"Oh, hello!" Ollivander looked up from the desk upon which he had put many boxes of wands. "It'll be a wand today won't it?" He spoke, drawing a tape measure from his pocket. "Writing arm out please and we will find you one that is the right length." He requested.

Ramal held out his left arm and allowed the man to measure his arem. He could barely contain his excitement as he looked at the many boxes that held wands that would someday belong to future wizards. the whole idea fascinated him. He looked back at the man and waited to see what he would get.

The man briskly measured the boy's arm in nary but a second. He whipped the tape measure back in his pocket, and looking through his messy silver hair, he opened the box that was on his desk. He turned the box toward himself so he could see the wands in it.
He then brought out a wand and held it gently toward Ramal, the handle facing him.
"A wand made from the finest holly, with the core of a Dragon's Scale..." He muttered, wishing his shop wouldn't be so catastrophically destroyed every time he gave a student a wrong wand.

Ramal's eyes grew wide with excitement when he heard what type of wand was being handed to him. It sounded like a powerful instrument, and he would most definitly love to have it. Carefully taking it from the man, it felt right as soon as it touched his fingertips. The tip of the wand began to glow bright as Ramal looked at the man and smiled.

"Great!" Ollivander clapped his hands loudly, thankful his store hadn't been destroyed yet this year! He closed the box of wands that was on his desk and placed it under the desk.
"Right, the wand is free." He smiled. "If I were now now, I would go and gather the other resources you think you may need such as books." He pointed to the bookstore that would be across the road.

"Thanks!" Ramal said as he held his new wand tight and ran out of the door. He took the man's advice, he would go get books next.
